260 followers · 823 posts · Server fosstodon.organd regarding #MobileLinux phones being ready: I will be the very first to explain to interested people (who are not arguing in bad faith) what the actual shortcomings (e.g. banking apps) are and I would say that currently it's very much an enthusiast device.
But actually there's not much missing that I would be able to recommend it to normies but would still make them aware of the limitations, which they might happen to be okay with.

I was on the fence beforehand because I was thinking "I am just a lowly Linux nerd. How could I ever achieve such a feat?" But with the trail having already been blazed for me by the likes of #postmarketOS #mobian and #mobilenixos it seems feasible. Don't expect anything grandiose out of this. It will just be a small hobby project.

I **did** upload the latest #confy after having helped upgrading blueprint-compiler (the required version was bumped) in #Debian .
The #gtk4 version looks absolutely beautiful, but see for yourself in the screencast I just did on my #Librem5 (no hw acccelerated video encoding yet, so that's why its not full fps).
This is the sort of app that makes it an absolute joy #daily #driving #phosh !
