I have to see my GP tomorrow 😬 He’s known for being fat shamey with me, plus pretty judgmental about a bunch of other things. I’m super anxious. I really wish I didn’t have to go. I haven’t seen him since I started using my walker over a year ago, and I’m pretty sure he’s also going to be judgmental about that. Just put a deposit down on a pair of #AI #MoonWalkers by #ShiftRobotics. I have limited mobility and endurance; these seem like they may be a helpful #AssistiveDevice.

Very expensive, but the deposit is refundable if I decide not to purchase them by the time they’re ready for shipment (sometime in 2023), and I’ll keep doing research on them until then.

There's a very specific and very confusing #ableist microaggression when someone walks past a #MobilityAid user and dramatically pulls as far away as possible like they're gonna catch something from us. It's so uncomfortable and feels like the intent is to make me feel in the way.
