I finally have Beat Saber mods (they randomly did not work and now randomly work), fixing the maps that previously just didn't load (though most maps work without any mods). Also I actually managed to do some motion capturing with the 57 marker bio mechanics markerset ouf, needed an assistant to do that but works quite well, including data streaming to #Unity. :) #MoCap #BeatSaber

Works on one PC, does not on another. At least it stopped crashing Unity. Instead, now Motive is crashing whenever I try to start recording and because our license is for an old version, support probably won't talk to me. Sigh #MoCap #Unity #VR #MotionTracking #EyeTracking

45 followers · 449 posts · Server mastodon.socialI took my own advice and attempted to use #MocapFusionVR in the way it was intended to be used, which wasn't exactly fun, but everything worked ok.
I was able to translate my character model, so I can inhabit it in realtime. Which involved installing #unity, from 2019, which I've never used before but it's... okay.
My character has somewhat inhuman proportions but the new IK controls make it possible (but not easy) to essentially retarget in realtime.
