If you own any kind of land in Montgomery County, Maryland (outside the cities of Rockville & Gaithersburg) then you can get shade trees planted for free by treemontgomery.org.
Planting trees is another way you can help sequester carbon from the atmosphere. I have three trees from treemontgomery in my yard and my homeowners assoc. received 58 trees in the common areas. These are not twigs-- every tree they installed - for free- was at least 10 feet tall. If you have space at your business, home, church, school, or home that could benefit from a tree, apply today!
