.. Just realized I took zero pictures of the arms, which are actually totally done! Oops.
Anyway, core shot and what's done of the body so far. I'm not colouring everything violet, mostly just kind of hitting stuff that I hope will peek through the armour.
Speaking of, I'm waiting for most of it to dry, for the torso. starting some work on the tail next I think, though leaving the legs for last may be a mistake.
1: PEET FICS!
2: And yeah, rev raptor's a great build, fast even when you take care. The raven raptor's just a variant of that before you add the pile bunker, but we're not doing that here
3: Ah, here we go. The mount for the booster cannons fits the wild weasel gatlings quite nicely, and gives them just the clearance they need to be above the blades.
Sort of ironic Sirius isn't getting the lance weapon, given who he's named after...
Snake form's already achieved, though in this case I would make the comparison to bananas more...
This build is really quick when you know what you're doing, and I still remember Charlie pretty well. I'm also more aware that glue is totally not a necessity anywhere here so I haven't bothered.
Wanted to point out this grill detail though. On the original it's red into grey and looks fine, but here? Mm, gorgeous.
Okay, getting underway pretty early because I, uh, didn't sleep basically at all last night for mysterious reasons.
It's funny, I specifically said I don't need a second rev raptor but here we are with the raven variant. I love the colours in this; I considered holding the build till I order some silver markers for the grey parts, but uh. They're gorgeous and shiny without, I really can't improve on that without actual plating.
Meet Sirius (agender, he/him)

#Mirage2000 #ScaleModelling #Modelismo #modelbuilding #Maquetas

My original account got deleted, so I’m starting fresh here. Will upload my old builds (again) over the next few days. #StarTrek #StarTrekModels #SciFiModels #StarWarsModels #ScaleModels #SciFi #ModelBuilding #ModelBuilder #MKMModelwerx

The picture does a pretty good job of getting across how the plastic looks now, but it doesn't hurt to add a video to really sell how the light hits it.
Anyway, not bad for a C$15 add-on to an order that was already going to cost me quite a bit regardless.
I'll dig into the other two boxes another time; I'm planning some customizations to go around and I don't want to be, ah, completely disappointed with that after doing this :blobcatgiggle:
1: I took the opportunity to switch her pilot for something a bit more fitting. He doesn't show up too well behind the amber cockpit, but y'know.
2: The head might've been the hardest part, getting it split in half without messing with the tubes on the neck. The rest of the limbs took time but were pretty okay. I fixed some of my colour errors from the original build, too!
3: And here she is finished. So shiny!
4: Fallen soldiers. It's a lot of now-unused parts!
My package arrived!
Ordinarily I'd follow the whole progression of a thing as I did it, but this was supposed to be the appetizer (the Big One's not happening for a while, need paints for it) buuuut it turned out to take quite a bit of Effort anyway.
Anyway, this is Kotobukiya's HMM Customize Parts #014, aka "sprues G and E of the gun sniper in chromed silver." Abigail is getting some upgrades.
Well, mostly she's getting some resplendent armour.
Como tengo un momentito, retomo mi Mirage 2000 de Heller (1/72). He estado lijando aqui y alla alguna cosa que no acababa de encajar bien, y ahora lo que toca es imprimar (si tengo tiempo). #Mirage2000 #maquetas #modelismo #ScaleModelling #ModelBuilding

Not a ton of pictures of the process this time around. There were Things happening, and also I did already build a command wolf and share it on here (technically .lol but y'know, images and such documented in the tag on my profile and all)
Iris is pretty well stuck in the LR configuration; the empire wolf actually predates the AC version and its special bits. I like her this way, though!
She doesn't have a pilot for now, but that'll change soon enough..
Started shaking badly enough doing the first leg I have to stop for a bit. This is at least more of a "low blood sugar" thing than an autistic lack of fine motor control thing.
It's... probably a sign of something or other how much happier it makes me when it's just blood sugar.
Anyway, feet pics!
Been sitting on this one a while as she came in with the rainbow jerk, but here's the command wolf, empire version!
I love these "stolen" designs, they're just a paint job but it's such a neat thing regardless. This model is from way back in 2006 or so when the HMM series started, and hasn't been reprinted so she's an old one!
Just building another one of these is like, "how did I ever do the first one with /scissors/?
1: So the torso-building process isn't the most photogenic thing in the world. Here's Good Boy with his new rocket launchers!
2: Obligatory core shot. Nothing special here, but I like how snugly it fits into the chest without being impossible to remove.
3: Head and torso. The cannons are a separate piece with an inexplicable gimmick; it's set up to work as an independent vehicle. Looks dumb, is dumb.
4: Getting some serious "HMM shield liger toes" flashbacks.
Build time! Step 1 for me was actually colouring the missile pods red to match the others that I did last month.
Then I started building the head and remembered it has some tiny ones in the mouth too.
Her name is Amelia! I'm actually using the cheek missiles on my command wolf, so I'll spend some time finding something else appropriate for her.
My hands are shaking after the detail work, so it's already time for a break.
So yeah I was talking with friends the whole time and that was still quick. As you'd expect!
1: I don't know how typical of Tomy zoid kits this is, but check out what the pilot has to work with: some Kotobukiya cockpits are wildly detailed, this one... less so.
2: She fly
3: She stand
4: But most importantly, she make a fan.
Love the kit, but I'm definitely sticking to Kotobukiya kits for the most part. Nice that this one is poseable rather than motorized tho.
Forget why I started doing feet pics with literally every Zoid model, but it's a good enough joke to keep on with.
Really just the final assembly left now. Old Tomy kits don't take long to construct at all!
Well okay, and the Genesis line was kind of... rushed and not super great, but I love the rainbow jerk and the only alternative is a nendoroid accessory to the Kotona figure.
Which, yes, is on the List.
So, since I've got a hole in my arm I decided to start on the Rainbow Jerk model by Ko—
Wait since when did Tomy make Zoids? ( :blobcatgiggle: )
It's crazy picking up an actual Tomy kit after... twenty-two years? I had one, ever, no idea if it's still intact or where it is tbh.
There's... a lot fewer parts than I'm used to.
Also note the one pre-painted bit with some overspill. Sadly my sandpaper is.. not worth accessing, so 🤷♀️
