I just found The Moderate Flank, which is the closest to a practical, mass movement climate action group as I've seen so far (https://tapbots.social/@ivory). But it's unclear from their site what, exactly, they suggest we can do beyond platitudes to effect tangible change. Watching hopefully... (hat tip to @zoesqwilliams) #moderateflank #climate

@zoesqwilliams #ModerateFlank sounds good to me. I have dependents and a limited support network, so can't risk any legal entanglements but I'm up for some disobedience below that threshold.

Also not entirely convinced what passes for democracy in this country is worth saving, so... 🤷

Fascinating Green House discussion last night in the House of Lords, key points:
Rupert Read (XR) called for mass mobilisation (a 'moderate flank'), min 7-8 million people ready to take non-arrestable action
Kevin Anderson broadly agreed
Molly Scott-Cato said (among other things), concentrate on the real enemies (fossil fuels & those profiting)
John Foster called for the end of democracy bc it was too slow & everyone shouted at him.
