@MaryMRedoutey IMO, #conservatives are grabbing everything they can while they can. They know their time as a power in #politics is coming to an end.

The under age 29 vote is going against them at the rate of 10-1. Couple that with all the deaths from covid and #moderates turning away from them has doomed their Party.

I think this is from #GeorgeLakoff’s book (not totally sure as I found it in my photos). But it’s a good thing to keep in mind, that people will work hard to maintain their sense of well-being.

It makes me think of #conservatives and their inherent need to maintain the status quo, with their fear of things getting worse. Or the ones who want to roll back changes to return to a time when they supposedly were better off.

For my #LGBTQAI friends - the #DemocraticParty treats #RuralDemocrats similar to the way they treat us - because #RuralIssues won't win over #Moderates and #Centrists any more than #TransRights or #MarriageEquality would.

I think its pretty clear that twitter is no longer a place where #moderates #swingvoters can post. You have to be an extremist, one way or another.

I'm not an #American and am not a fan of their political system nor either of their big parties. But given that what the USA does on the world stage affects everyone, I can only say I'm happy that it looks like these last #elections paint the picture of people favoring #moderates on both sides of a two-party system that has been victim of a polarized discourse for quite a while now.
