I have not yet shared any impressions from the #Unearth show last week in #Aachen
#Horizis opened the evening. They are a local band from Aachen playing #ModernMetal.
I like some of their songs, but they seemed to be stressed live on stage. I guess with more routine and ease they will become better.

I still love tube amps and analog gear but I couldn't have done what I did in music (especially since the pandemic) if I didn't start using "modern" #audiogear .
Amp modellers and virtual instruments made it possible to record and release my own music, and play it live without carrying an amp. Having a digital rack mixer on stage helped with backing tracks and let all musicians control their own IEM mixes. And a super lightweight guitar is the cherry on top 🍒

I try to write #MetalCore / #modernMetal, but it never comes out how I want want it. Not that I’m unhappy with the results, it’s just never what I started out with as a target.
