A decade or so ago, Pence running for President would be considered insane and an absolute disaster to anything involving race or sexual orientation to name just two issues. Now, compared to some of the other GOP candidates, he seems "sane".

The congregation I serve has a church building that is heated by an old, temperamental boiler system. It decided to take this weekend off.
Luckily we have a space that can be used if necessary for the 8:00 worship service. And the system was restarted, so we will be good for the 10:15 service.

Apropos of nothing, I was reminded of a time in the late '90s or early 2000s when a friend of mine (we'll call him Mark, because that's his name) had a router with some sort of firmware bug that made it lock up if its uptime grew too large. This was somewhere on the order of a few weeks or a month, if I recall. His solution was to put it on a mechanical lamp timer and cut power to it at 2 or 3 in the morning for a few minutes. #SRE #ModernProblems #NetworkEngineer

We just discovered that our recently purchased #car has been turning the lights on and off at random because we are butt-dialing the key #fob.

New mobile phone.

Spent today waiting for delivery of screen protector.

Then cleaned screen of smudges & dust (several times as I kept using it after each clean).

Put off doing it all day as I always get dust specks & bubbles & fingerprints & not straight.

Checked online instructions & watched YouTube vids.

Eventually decided it was 100% dust & smudge free & I knew what to do & decided to do it ...

Realised there was a screen protector already on it 🙄

Well, I was planning to read myself to sleep but my tablet had other ideas. It decided to update mid sentence. #modernproblems. 😹

It’s probably a bad sign that the vast majority of notifications on my phone are from apps trying to sell me something or make me use them, rather than friends wanting to talk to me.
