Thanks to modern technology, being able to rip a Glasgow phone directory in half with your bare hands isn't nearly as impressive a feat of strength as it was in my youth (bonus points if you're old enough to remember when such things used to feature on Saturday night prime time television!).

Nitter works fine, but having to edit the URL every time during a redirect loop is finicky and gets boring quickly.

There are extensions that redirect to Nitter, but they are not available on mobile.

'er indoors had an Amazon Gift card as a birthday present for her last birthday, she finally decided what she wanted to buy with it, so I've just spent the last 10 minutes redeeming it.

Never had one before, spent 5 minutes tapping in the long number and the short number into the redeem page, and getting a failed not valid error. Rang son who pointed out that you need to open it first, and then type in the ALPHANUMERIC code from the card inside!
