I use past turnout data to predict the staffing level that will be required to prevent long lines and waiting on Election Day and then recruit and schedule enough people to do it. Then I make sure they get paid correctly. I use a scheduling program called #MODUS (if there are any other users out there).

It's the ONLY theme I ever used that didn't require me to run 'M-x customize-face' all the time on certain obscure major modes (for example, the timestamps in erc are actually set properly).
I'll recommend this to everyone; It's worthwhile.
