Today’s #ModWrite - trying to make some edits to chapter two (Poland! Borders! Modernism!), but mostly being distracted by my little Lincolnshire paper I’m presenting in Munich later this month. Here’s a (rather ominous?) Lincs pic by John Piper (from: https://www.tate.org.uk/art/archive/items/tga-8728-1-22-82/piper-photograph-of-a-signpost-in-freiston-shore-lincolnshire).
By way of #Introductions, I'm Lloyd Meadhbh, and I work on the cultural politics of sexual health, the history of obscenity and censorship, and queer history and culture in the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries. I also moonlight as a gaming journalist and gender diversity consultant.
My monograph, "Irish Modernism and the Politics of Sexual Health", will be out with OUP in Feb.

Today’s #ModWrite: on literary depictions of European empires & new nation states post-WWI. Taking inspiration from these amazing banknotes on display at @FitzMuseum_UK@twitter.com - Austro-Hungarian notes transformed (through overprinting and stamps) into Romanian & Czechoslovak currency.
This #ModWrite I'm writing on Blanchot, Hegel, and Napoleon (with a special guest appearance by Kojève).
Today’s #ModWrite: finally writing about Lincolnshire in a little paper. Here’s an abandoned RAF building from WWII in a Lincolnshire wood - which always reminds me of William Sansom’s ‘The Wall’: “framed by one of those symmetrical, oblong window spaces”.
