When I took up photography again around 2007, after escaping the dark side (advertising), I set myself a project to get back in the swing of things. I chose to document the Dublin coast, from Killiney to Balbriggan - a really satisfying thing to have done.
If you're new to photography, or in a rut creatively, I highly recommend setting yourself a long term personal project you can dip in and out of over the course of a year or two.

Another from before, when I got out more. Love these places when there's no one around. Nice to see traces of someone uses them to lay down rubber while perfecting their doughnuts. Those little tell tale signs of life make photos like these for me.

I got back into photography in 2007 after being out of it since the 1990s - I'd joined the dark side then, working in advertising as a creative director. Always been drawn to places on the periphery of towns and cities, business and industrial parks, etc, especially when there was no one around.

The OPW (Office Of Public Works) asked me to photograph the Bedford Tower in 2021 to celebrate Canada day, and while we were at it we decided to light it up with the pride colours too. It was a shitty evening, raining and dull overcast, so i stripped in a different sky for my own amusement.
