Worked very late yesterday so i needed one strong closer for #TGIF: #KaapseBrouwers (#Rotterdam 🇳🇱) x #Moersleutel (#Alkmaar 🇳🇱) Kaapse Bolt Blond Barley Wine. Heady, but very enjoyable. Livelier than many other barley wines.

For #WeekEndEnd: #Basqueland (🇪🇦) Imparable IPA vs. #Moersleutel (🇳🇱) Willy Tonka - Tonka, Red Beet & Chocolate Imperial Stout. The "Willy Tonka" really comes with a peel-off label behind which - IF you are lucky - you can claim a "golden ticket" earning you a free box of Moersleutel beers. And no, I drew a blank 😪 .

Last night's #Moersleutel was a bit heavy at 17 ABV, so today I am going for an IPA (6.4 ABV) and a "regular" Russian Imperial Stout (8.4 ABV). Both the Stoute Gijt (RIS) and the Hop Met De Gijt (IPA) are by #DeNatteGijt, a hobby-gone-microbrewery in the (Dutch) province of Limburg. As the brewery does not have a brew kit that is large enough, most batches are contract brewed by #Anders in the (Belgian) province of Limburg. 🇳🇱 🤝 🇧🇪

Now pouring: #Moersleutel Canelés (🇳🇱) Freeze Distilled Imperial Stout (17 ABV).
"The canelé (or cannelé) is a traditional French pastry from Bordeaux with a soft custard center flavored with vanilla and rum, and a crispy caramelized crust. Vanilla being Rob’s favorite ingredient, we had to turn this delicious treat into a rich dark stout. By freeze-distilling it we intensified it’s rum, vanilla, and caramel flavor and created a beautiful 17% sipper."
