#OSE #BECMI #MoldayBasic post #2. Maybe it's a holdover from my line of work (classical music) but I've been wrestling w/ "historical performance practice"-- e.g., what it means to give my D&D camp kids an authentic "old school" experience. If you sidestep the quirky bits (d6 skills, wonky saving throws, turn-based exploring, resource management, etc.) is it *really* Basic D&D? I know it should always be about fun and creativity, but as an old guy it's hard not to pursue an ideal. Anyone else?
