I found this a while back-- a reference to a statement by Gary Gygax: "Gygax stated that save vs. wands was usually an act of physically dodging, while save vs. spells was mental resistance and, for magic-users who have much better save vs. spells than other classes, a bit of counterspell." I can't find the quote anywhere. Thoughts? #dnd #osr #ose
