These recordings of the German general Helmuth Von #Molkte the Elder, made by Theo Wangemann in 1889, and discovered in 2011 at the #Edison laboratory in #NewJersey, are the only known examples of the voice of someone born in the 18th century. More info (including the voice of #Bismarck) here:
