I’ve been struggling lately with the concept of #workism and the impact it’s had on my life. As a #newmom, I want to spend time with my #baby, but feel guilty because I should be working. The reverse is also true. #momguilt is quite real and #society is complicit in abandoning #mothers.

At what point do we end it? When are we allowed to draw the line and say “no more?”

Eh, it’s #teatime now. Then back to work to prep for the week.

Snow in #London, finally! Super excited in the household, little guy stayed up to play (and relieved my #funparenting paid off with a closed school this morning 😁 )

#MomGuilt is tough. I leaned on my spouse last night for the food and bedtime routine because I was doing a community meeting for #MLK and when I went in to kiss her goodnight and read an extra story, my daughter cried and said she missed me.

Just wrapped up a 2 hour MLK planning meeting and my child was very upset I wasn't around this evening. #MomGuilt is the worst. And I always end up doing some sort of penance. Hence tomorrow morning will involve muffin baking.

The whole house has been sick for more than a week.. all 3 kids and hubby.. except for me. Husband says if I don't believe it, then I won't get it.. so I'm repeating "I'm not sick" even though he was on his death bed all week.. the one who brought it home.. and kept saying this mantra too. I suppose my #momguilt also won't allow me to rest if I am indeed sick, so I guess it doesn't matter.
