Finished **Momodora: Reverie Under the Moonlight (Xbox)** is a bit meh of a metroidvania. I mean it is okay for its small scale and length which is easily replayable for that harder difficulty runs. It is just exploration, layout and game feel were a bit lacking so I did not bother completing it.

(The big boss design though... 😦)

➤Metroidvania, you start with the double jump and you have a ranged bow you can use all you want
➤I beat a bunch of early bosses and didn't really get anything for it.
➤Neat item system. Limited uses of items until you reach a save point. Sadly, most are one use and situational.
➤I explored like 60%+ of the map before they let you warp between save points. Why so late?
➤Normal enemies are slow, but do tons of damage even after HP ups.

I've been reminded of the existence of #momodora 4 and how much I love that game. I started replaying it yesterday and I've now been informed that a fifth game is in development, so I have that to look forward to. It looks like a big upgrade from the trailer.

Какая-то из 1-ых «Momodora», помнится, была неплохой. Да и серию в целом хвалят, может стоит присмотреться к линейке в общем или к «Momodora: Moonlit Farewell» в частности.
