It's another #MonarchMonday, and I'm back with some more beauties from my #garden. Each time I add to my #butterfly photo collection it's further motivated to grow my #PollinatorPatch even more the next year, I just can't get enough of seeing these stunners every time I look out my windows.

I'm actually just kind of in love with this picture. I have tons of photos of monarchs, closer up and grain free in tighter crops and tack-sharp detail.
But this one.
This has got to be one of my favorites for being so delicate and timeless and simple, like heirloom lace.

While I naturally like my own images, I don't usually print a lot of my own work unless it's a #muse 'hero' image that takes a lot of labor and creativity to make. This is one of the rare times a simple, non 'muse' image really makes me fall in love.

A neighbor down the alley has *the* monarch and pollinator oasis in his backyard. So many mating pairs and butterflies of all kinds flitting around! I am always so pleased with my own native pollinator patches in my yard, but his was another level.
Over the weekend I got his permission to pop into his yard and take some photos so now that I've got some days off, I'm looking forward to being a little shutterbug there for the next couple days.

Today I got a treat when I looked out my kitchen window. This monarch was taking full advantage of my white butterfly bush (even though I have milkweed like a meter away-- Edit: I was hoping it would lay eggs). It flitted around and let me take a couple shots, here's a favorite.

I reckon I just may have proved that my dog can count.

She counted two lovely walks and didn't get up to check what I was wearing this morning, expecting a school day. But, it's #MonarchMonday so we have a bonus day!!

I have had a wee chuckle, I actually went 'ta-da!!' when she did look and she saw walking shoes and jacket 😍
