Old school perhaps, but we’ve still got a landline that sits in the background and never gets used. Tried to get it cut off, but became too difficult and there’s no extra cost. In the last two years the only calls we’ve ever received are telemarketing and scam calls so it never gets answered ☎️

Always with the musings!
Today I much enjoyed watching the birds helping themselves to all the dog fur that I put out after clipping is done.
It goes in a disused nut feeder, the type with the wire mesh, not the plastic tube, and it is pushed down the central well until it is full.
And the birds, sparrows, and blue tits, fly back and forth, tugging out the pieces and taking it off to use in their nests as a soft bed for their eggs and hatchlings.

I am late with my journal tonight.
On the plus side I did have a very good day, and spent much of it outdoors, in the sunshine, which I like very much, and it was tempered by a cooling breeze.
As for work, hmm.
However I do find it very hard to read a computer screen in the sunlight, and any papers which I am working with do tend rather to blow away and be found too muddy to read.
And I did do a bit of reading, too, during dog dozing time.

Just a thought: FL better enjoy having 2 schools in the Men's Final Four....because ....if DeSatan continues to destroy freedoms in the state, let's hope top recruits will look elsewhere....in fact, this should be encouraged!!

I like musing as a word. And it is a silent, thoughtful, solitary process, which I also like.

This morning I woke to rain, I heard its rhythm before my eyes agreed to open and to allow an entrance to the dimness that was trying to pass itself as light. The clock chimed 4 am. I am used to 4 am. It may be too early for coffee, but never to sit quietly dreaming, and planning, oh so meticulously, of things, one day, I wish to do, and of people, one day, I wish to meet

I used to be a #Software #developer, #tester, and the likes in my previous life when we used to manage our own #webservers, #applicationservers, etc., And, we never thought things were so complicated as in today's era. Under the guise of making it #EasyToManage have we overly complicated the #IT #hardware and #software #infrastructure? What ever happened to #KeepingItSimple?

Or, is it just me?

I miss the "dealers choice" at the pub. When beer was bought in rounds, your mate would go to the bar and ask "what you having?" and your response would be "dealers choice"
They would chose a beer for you, based on what they knew you liked, and what they were willing to spend. Although 'back then' most beers were roughly the same price. And you'd get to blind taste a beer before knowing what it was or who brewed it.

I miss that blind tasting.

Well, Trump as Pres...ughh, still can't say it fully....may have put to bed the idea that there really is a Presidents' Book of Secrets....if there was one, that big mouthed Traitor Tot would have blabbed it all on Social Media or one of his Klan rallies by now. #IMO

I think a substantial part of leadership is just getting balls rolling. So often people say "there is a problem" or "we should do something" but don't take the extra step to suggest a course of action. It doesn't always have to be the correct course of action, but when someone throws out a plan it usually gets the conversation started. The rest of leadership is getting everyone to follow the plan. 😂​ #MondayMusings

Just asked ChatGPT to write my wife a Love song in the style of Marilyn McCoo and it did a believably great job of it! I'm both suitably amazed and subtly terrified.. this could change the greeting card writing industry! #jokingbutonlyhalf #chatgpt #mondaymusings

ChatGPT is cool and all but has anyone figured out how AI and Robotics can push us closer to Nuclear Fusion as well as create automated robots to clean up the trash in our landfills and oceans?
