I urge everyone to stop buying #unilever products (and they sell a ton of brands but all of them have alternatives), switch away from the #mondelez brands (they sell a ton of alcohol, just pick an alternative, easy peasy), and then scream at your politicians. The failure to act is grotesque.

@EugeneMcParland I passed #IKEA in #Serbia yesterday and they still sell #Mondelez products. It seems like #IKEA is lacking the self awareness of human rights and values and let each company in each country decided how to act.

Of course #IKEA should stand up for human rights and stop cooperating with companies that benefit the russian state.

There are other producers of candy in Sweden that IKEA can sell globally!

@EugeneMcParland We Must not forget to put pressure on companies dealing with #Mondelez or selling their products. For example #IKEA in #Sweden have said they stopped selling their products, while #IKEA in #Germany still sells #Mondelez products.
I spotted this at #IKEA in #Kiel a few weeks ago. If #IKEA had any self awareness they would ban all of #Mondelez products all over the world.

It has three factories in russia:
👉 Bolshevik factory (produces Yubileynoe, #OREO, Mishka Barny, and TUC crackers),
👉 Pokrov factory (produces Alpen Gold, Vozdushny, #Milka, and Picnic bars),
👉 Bolshoi Novgorod (produces #Dirol chewing gum and #Halls candies).

In 2022, it paid more than 61 million USD in taxes to russia

@bbcworld It's very easy for all of us to show what we really mean about these companies. Stop buying any products from companies you know operate in Russia.

I no longer buy chocolate as most here is from those companies. I switched my coffe brand and more. Use the alternatives whenever possible.

Idag så jeg Freia melkesjokolade på Meny i 'oversize' størrelse a la taxfree, men til 10% lavere pris enn den vanlige, mindre, krympflasjonsrammede platen med melkesjolade fra Freia, som de forøvrig også hadde i butikken.

Beide Marken – Tuc und 7days – gehören zum Lebensmittelkonzern #Mondelez International, der mit Hilfe des Markenwechsels eine drastische Preiserhöhung von 127 Prozent für das quasi gleiche Produkt durchsetzt.

I know. I'm Norwegian, and our most-beloved producer of chocolate, #Freia (objectively considered one of our national treasures, slogan being "A little piece of #Norway" and everything) , sold themselves to #Mondelez some decades back. I and a number of my countrymen have forsworn providing their owners with more of my money until they withdraw meaningfully from RU. This was a hot topic around here last month.

I'll soon resume buying #Carlsberg-owned beverages, though!

Furniture giant Ikea has said that it plans to phase out products owned by Mondelez, the company behind #Cadbury , amid a boycott across much of Scandinavia of the confectionary-maker’s products.

The designation of the #Oreo-maker #Mondelez an “international sponsor of war” by Ukraine’s National Agency on Corruption Prevention (NACP) in May this year prompted a wave of boycotts of Mondelez’s products in #Sweden, #Norway and #Denmark.
