I loathe FB & have nothing to do with it. This money grab comes as no surprise.
What these social media companies understand but many of their users fail to grasp, is that the users are the product, their personal details are the crops being harvested & sold for massive profits.
If FB can also convince its users to pay to have their personal info onsold and have people willing to pay them to do so says a great deal about the stupidity of quite a large number of humans.

Seems like the kind of thing that consumers should actively reject... this would be akin to buying an 4cyl gas car, but only able to operate 3 of the 4 cylinders without paying a yearly subscription fee. No reason but a moneygrab. I'm not sure how they (or anyone) justifies the recurring cost?
