"Three of New York City’s and NYC Comptroller Brad Lander announced shareholder resolutions at three massive American banks with major investments: Bank of America, Goldman Sachs, JPMorgan Chase and Canada’s largest bank and top fossil fuel financier, RBC.

The shareholder proposals, if passed, would require the banks to set absolute emission reduction targets for 2030 aligned with science."

It's AGM season soon so large shareholders are getting ready to use their clout to push companies onto a more -responsible path.

Nice.
But for such a fee to get installed. Such talk is climate , just what climate deniers want to see.

Banks don't need such a price signal. They just need to look at the honestly ("fiduciary duty", anyone?) and act accordingly.
