I went to the #Cheese #Monger today to get things for the #Charcuterie for tomorrows #Friendsgiving

While I was there I had a decent conversation with the monger, and asked good questions.

I think I walked away with a selection of cheeses that will complement our homemade jams and things.

At the end, he complimented me on being well educated and having a vision and idea about the kind of board I wanted to build.

I have literally spent hours reading about cheeses, looking at recipe videos, flipping through pinterest, etc.... Not out of anxiety but because I hyperfocus and thrive on knowing the most about a topic that I'm engaging with.

So what did I tell him? That I had studied hard. Taken notes. Googled cheese techniques. Researched Pairings?

No. I looked this man dead in his face and said, "Uh....TikTok?"

My wife looked at me like I was more than a little insane. And he looked a little surprised and not very believing.

Why did I say that? I'm personally ashamed of my behavior. I worked hard. Why be embarrassed?
