I have in memory that Jack London wrote a short story in which a dried monkey's paw played a part. A search on the Internet keeps leading me to William W. Jacobs (1863 - 1943) as the author of "The Monkey's Paw." Does anyone know of a Jack London story in which dried monkey's paw plays a role? Or maybe a short story by Jack London, where the protagonist gets his wish in a similarly cruel way?

The #CallistoProtocol reviews are out and they are pretty lackluster as well as performance issues especially on the #SteamDeck which is a shame because there was so much potential for this game. Patching could address perf. issues but it looks like the non-technical gameplay and story critiques would take a huge effort to rectify. Proof that while we may often find ourselves wishing our favorite game series or tv show would be revived those revivals are often doomed by a #MonkeysPaw style curse
