Whatever happened with March against #Monsanto?

From where I was -- completely disconnected, on the peripheries -- seems like the after effect was both crank hippie conspiratism had wider reach while mainstream left became ensmored with weirdly pro GMO, pro Nuclear* rhetoric, I think MAM was the moment environmentalism as a coherent movement just totally collapsed in on its own contradictions between naturalistic mysticism, liberal Utopian futurism, capitalist realism and consumerist apathy...

*I'm not anti nuclear as such but an uncritically pro nuclear or nuclear first stance often downplays the actually existing or potential risks and costs ( existing nuclear infrastructure is in poor shape, next gen reactors will cost hundreds of billions of dollars) Renewables namely solar, wind, geothermal etc. Are all far cheaper initially. Under the current capitalist order building nextgen nuclear power plants in developing countries would incur generations of debt owed to western governments and financiers #degrowth #nuclear

I generally believe that because all public companies are legally obligated to maximize shareholder profits, it's a bit pointless to expect them to have a conscience. By nature all public #corporations are #amoral.

With the exception of #meta. They along with a handful of others like #monsanto, #nestle, and #amazon actually seem to revel in causing harm.

Even #Microsoft, who I worked for for over 15 years weren't overtly #evil until the very end. Just furiously amoral.
