This was actually pretty good! I had no idea what to expect, being yet another horror film I’d never heard of, but yeah… Good creepy monster flick!

The Giant Claw is a 1957 Sam Katzman-produced low-budget sci-fi horror monster movie so you expect it to be fun. And it is.

The monster is a gigantic prehistoric battleship-sized killer bird, made of anti-matter. And it’s not just a monster bird, it’s a stealth monster bird!

It’s very very silly but it’s silly in an inspired way. I loved it.

On the subject of big rabbits...

There is a "horror" movie from 1972 called "Night of the Lepus". It's a monster movie, in which a town is terrorized by ... enormous bloodthirsty rabbits. It is amazingly, unintentionally funny. They didn't even use wild rabbits; it's just a bunch of cute pet rabbits of different breeds.

It's also available from the RiffTrax guys (rifftrax.com/night-of-the-lepu) with hilarious MST3K-style commentary.

Yesterday I watched Fred Olen Ray's two-parter 1-hr "Piranha Women," which makes some odd decisions. Like having three guys arguing about a promotion for 25% of the movie's runtime.

This is probably not something I am supposed to watch without chemical aids.
