Good Monday morning everyone, your favorite snail dad here. There’s a new snail in my garden, and it’s even a bit bigger than the other guy. Calling her ‘Diane’ after a show I’m watching. I’m still feeling a bit sick and sleepy but much better- and get this, I get the day off! Today’s mood: Chill, but a touch of melancholy. Present, but distant as Major Tom.

Is “Meloy” short for “Melancholy”? Jokes aside, this one fits that a little bleak and nihilistic, but in a sort of Mr. Peanutbutter kind of way mood to a T. Side note: the title track is probably my favorite Decemberists.
