Fully agreed. Yet there is the precedence of previous #WMD. Previous generations of #Scientists fought for the ban and helped defend the #taboo fwiw.

The difference to the 1950s clearly is that nobody thinks #MoralAuthority can even be claimed. And indeed: all institutions today are tainted.

Which in turn is one reason why #GameTheory seems to be the only language left to political actors.

#COP27 I see much negativity regarding any positive changes from big governments, big corporations or big banks resulting from #COP27. Nevertheless, please let’s send supportive and compassionate vibes (prayers, intentions) to the many representatives who are attending and doing what they can to persuade, cajole, and influence a world still trapped in #extractivecapitalism. May the #UN find the #moralauthority to bend the arc in a positive direction.
