Performance on the cognitive reflection test and base rate neglect tests (Analytic cognitive style) did not significantly predict moral judgments about "disgust-eliciting vignettes" (above and beyond other factors) in about 400 Swedish participants.

Recently I've been reading "Thinking Fast and Slow" by Daniel Kahneman which discussed two systems (1 &2) which beef to be personified. Last year I read "The Righteous Mind" by Haidt, and Jonathan whose use of the metaphor of an elephant and a man could have been a macaw and a hound.
