Reading the “Levelling up and Regeneration Bill” and noticed the words “about vagrancy and begging” in the description.

Nothing in the contents list, but under “miscellaneous” are powers for the Secretary of State to make regulations creating criminal offences or civil penalties for behaviour that would fall under S3&4 of the Vagrancy Act 1824, despite it having been repealed. The effect would be to punish poverty and homelessness. Again.
