Looking at an old final exam (introduction to #English #Morphosyntax, 2009) and can't help noticing a dark streak running through the example sentences. Exhibits:
1. The children's indifference killed the sweet little pets.
2. Her train was not one of those destroyed by the thunderstorm.
3. The government released all prisoners who were still able to walk.

It's #Introduction time. I am a #linguist in #Montreal. I work in #phonology and on its interface with #morphosyntax. I am a serial hobbyist. I'm currently into #rollerskating and #cycling. I have the best kid (sorry other kids). I cut my own bangs.

I suppose I ought to post another #introduction because that post is gone, and what with the recent #TwitterMigration. I'm Carsten, I majored in German #literature, but since writing my B.A. thesis gradually moved over to German historical #linguistics. I defended my #PhD thesis on a #MiddleHighGerman #Morphosyntax topic recently. I like #reading fiction, do some #photography, and enjoy a good #walk outside. I've recently moved to #Berlin for work.
