Watching the Morris Dancers part 2, the Rapper Sword Dance.
This is my favourite bit of the performance, it looks impressive as they twist and turn making patterns and undoing patterns with the swords they hold between them. Hard to photograph tho!

Watching the Morris Dancers part 1, the performance began with a rather fragmentary piece of a mummer's play, then while the chaps were changing for the sword dance we listened to carols played on handbells.
In the photo from the play the Doctor is healing the Knight whilst Father Christmas and the Turk drink from the Doctor's hipflask.

Afterwards the side #pub was busier than I’ve seen it on a Thursday since lockdown - last week the landlord was saying he has started closing on a Thursday if we aren’t there by our usual time as it isn’t worth it.
While #MorrisDancers do our best, we can’t support the whole economy, so if you want it to be there at special times you have to visit your pub at normal times too. A pub is for life, not just for #Christmas.
