The twist is it's not for kink/etc reasons (were both "vanilla" I believe is the term)

It's because I keep accidentally scaring her because I walk very quietly.

Finally danced again at practice last night after about five months off following a strained Achilles tendon - twice through teaching/leading Deformed Rabbit (our version of Tinners’) then one and a half times through fairly vigorous Upton/Chingford stick dances.
Surprisingly unbroken, and quite pleased with that :-)

It is a month until Red Cuthbert Morris will be dancing in Bamberg! Southern Germans, Bavarians, Bohemians, Central Europeans, we will be dancing in the Maximilian Platz at 11am on 9 September, and at a brewery the afternoon before, and local hostelries both evenings (ask where and I’ll try to look it up). Upton (Chingford) Stick Dance a couple of times through on an ?8kg Hohner Ouverture is certainly a work out for the left arm. I may end up looking like a lopsided gorilla.

Great day out with Red Cuthbert Morris yesterday for our 11th anniversary mini-tour. Three villages, and finishing at an estate pub in town, we had great reaction and participation at all of them. At the last spot they even bought the false ending in Much Wenlock!
A really fun day, with glorious weather. Now back to reality and glamorous tasks like weeding the allotment.
