@epixoip @sc00bz your write-up also emphasizes that the cloud isn't the problem. Yes, data is leaked through bad practices, but even if passwords are only locally sourced and #Lastpass had a #selfhosted instance similar to #BitWarden, after reading your post I cannot recommend #Lastpass at all.

If you are a non-technical user, or even someone like my grandparents, I would 100% recommend the #hosted #Bitwarden option. It is #opensource and tried and tested, with many audits that are publicly available.

If you are a hardcore user, and know what you are doing, by all means go the #selfhosted route. I personally don't #selfhost at this time because I don't have a computer for a server and my #raspberrypi is currently running my #smarthome with #mqtt #octoprint #mosquittomqttmessagebroker and other services. If I can get a new #raspberrypi 4, I will totally #selfhost
