I'm definitely no sculptor, but after finally getting a chance to see my little mossy owl in daylight, I think I actually like it.
I followed the tutorial of black magic craft over on YouTube to get a stone effect using acrylic paint, but to be honest I didn't follow it to the letter as I was feeling kind of frustrated and tired at the time. Still, it seems to have helped a lot!

My poor owl said it would like to be mysterious and ancient please, so I went a bit too far and turned it into a pun - it is now a mossy owl.
I'll have to wait for it to dry before doing finishing touches but here it is so far, with sequins for eyes. I think I'll try to give it black pupils and one more layer of dry brushing when the glue is dry.
