Just recently finished this: Mother of Invention by Katrine Marcal, and it’s just BRILLIANT. It could so easily be a decent book that’s mostly a list of examples of (hidden and not-so-hidden) case studies of gender bias in engineering and design, but it’s so so much more than that. And the stuff towards the end is fabulously thoughtful. This is just one example: on why we should probably stop saying “mother nature”. Highly recommended. #books #MotherOfInvention #Gender #Design

Got to a row with a stitch that calls for a cable needle but alllll my small cable neeeeedlessss are in my backpack in the caaaarrrrr.... that's soooo farrrr awaaaay....

So, looking to my mug collection stuffed with various needles & hooks next to my desk, I improvised by using the hook part of this antique I acquired years ago either from my Omama's stash or from an eBay snag.
