@jewelpit #MothershipRPG implies that hyperspace is hell-ish, or at least very-not-good. I wrote a setting where hyperspace is the liminal space *between* this universe and hell. Does that count?

I’m not a huge Sci-Fi reader, limited mostly to some Herbert, Heinlein, PKD, Huxley, Orwell and other classics.

I have to say, I was pulled in a lot more by the grit and dark industrialist atmosphere of #MothershipRPG, than when I played Star Wars FFG. My first impression of the game was very positive. We did a lot of world building, describing the space station and ships we were on or encountered and it genuinely felt good to be free of any IP and just go with our own collaborative image.

So, I played #MothershipRPG yesterday evening. @HeyeBodo was the warden, and @thopan played our pilot. I played the engineer, an overly cynical talented technician who works for the company, but hates everything about it, including himself. Not the Edgy McEdgelord type, but a guy who sees the irony in everything and doesn’t have the sense to keep his chuckles to himself. A question authority dude, who’d much rather be doing something else and isn’t afraid to say so.

26. I love #mothershiprpg ‘s flow chart character sheet. You could almost reverse engineer the entire game from the character sheet, and I think that’s something that not enough RPGs do: making the “thesis” of the game apparent in its player-facing materials.

Ich mag Charakterbögen, ich mag sie ausführlich, ich mag sie, wenn sie voller Artwork und schöner Schriften sind und so schon etwas Stimmung einbringen, ich mag noch mehr, wenn die wichtigsten Infos auf einer Seite sind.

Der #MothershipRPG Bogen bietet das und bringt sogar die komplett selbsterklärende Charaktererschaffung einfach mit. Damit ist es bei mir schon eines der coolsten Formulare dieser Art.

16. Technically I already own it but I can’t wait to have the #MothershipRPG box set in my hands. Supposedly February. Other than that, mainly stuff I’ve convinced myself not to buy because there’s no opportunity to run it currently or no room on my bookshelf. #UltravioletGrasslands is the first thing that comes to mind because all those materials look so damn cool and i'd love to have the 2nd Edition box set.

The final PDFs for #MothershipRPG 1.0 have been released (for backers, at least), and are quite stunning. Can't wait to give 'Another Bug Hunt' a try.
