Quite #disappointing when people #comment after only #reading the #headline and not the actual #article. Just read a post where a young #college #student had to ask someone to vacate a seat she reseved cause she needed that specific seat to prevent #motionsickness, and of course the comments got very #ableist from people who clearly didn’t #read the whole article cause all they got about he #r from the headline is that she’s a young #collegestudent and didn’t see she also has an #invisibledisability. Wish there was a requirement where you have to scroll through the entire article before you can comment. #ableism #disabled #disability

It took me a while to get the motion down. HOWEVER, the rowing motion causes me to get nasty motion sickness. 🤢🥴

Speaking of gaming, the show version of The Last of Us made me want to maybe play the game. But since I don't have a console and the PC version isn't out yet, I decided to watch a play-through on Youtube instead.

Then I remembered why I don't play modern games - motion sickeness. 10mins of gameplay = 2-3 hours of feeling queasy.

My partner works remotely for LA Film School and yesterday was the annual company holiday party at Universal Orlando.
We had a lot of fun! I had bison sushi at Cowfish Grill, and we had #butterbeer at #hogsmeade. The only downside was my poor sweetheart got on a ride that made him feel pretty sick for the rest of the evening. But otherwise it was a good time.

I was getting motion sick trying to play the remastered version (2014) on the #PS5. I want to try to play the game, but don't want to drop $70 on the remake (2022) if it still makes me sick.

Anyone know or have the experience?

I don't usually get #MotionSickness from #ConsoleGames, so no idea what is going on nor does it have many video settings. Thanks!

A buddy pointed me to Vintage Story at https://www.vintagestory.at which is apparently a made-from-scratch game that largely looks like Minecraft but has their own engine, shaders, character models, etc. It originally was a total conversion Minecraft mod, but they decided to make their own game out of this.

Anyone got experience with this game? Apparently they already have over 700 mods. I'm tempted to try it out as it does look good from the trailers and let's plays.

The only thing I'm worried about is that I get motion sickness easily. I can get around that in Minecraft by having a higher FOV and turning off head bobbing. But I've read that this game can still induce motion sickness despite configuring around this, so that's still holding me back a bit.
