Erlebe ich jedes Mal, wenn ich als Fußgänger unterwegs bin. Die Leute schmeißen ihr Auto an, noch während ich hinterm Auto vorbei laufe. Anstatt 2 Sekunden zu warten, bis ich vorbei bin. Man guckt nicht mal, ob gerade wer hinterm Auto ist.
Jedes Mal, und das kommt sehr häufig vor, wenn ich Straßen hinter fahrenden Autos überquere, halte ich die Luft an. Ich wunder mich immer wieder, warum alle anderen Fußgänger die Abgase ergeben einatmen.

Apparently it's not by building safe cycling infrastructure - instead we should be staggering school opening hours. 🤔

I'm sitting there having my lunch on the lovely newly landscaped Francis Street when this guy pulls up in his van onto the paved area right in front of me, sticks on his hazards, leaves the engine running and takes out his phone to make a call.

Perfectly normal behaviour. I'm sure the council are delighted the money they spent on the public realm enhancement isn't going to waste.

Similarly, compare "pedestrian" with "person walking". A pedestrian is always shown in situations where they will interact with, slow down and otherwise inconvenience people driving.

The images of a "person walking" are mostly independent of car infrastructure.

And apparently no citation!? You drove through a place you couldn't see and hit someone, that's like five violations and maybe criminal negligence but #motoNormativity shrugs it off as an oopsie, #TrafficEngineers ignore it as "driver error".

Tire and brake dust means your 4000lb #EV will generate as much emissions as a small gas car, or more!?

He has six previous convictions including one for speeding and was travelling at 180km/h in a 100km/h zone - in any other civilised country he would be off the road, and may even be in prison. In Ireland, he gets a slap on the wrist and is let off to do it again tomorrow.
