Finally got an order in for CE Level 2 shoulder pads for my Knox armored shirt! Great for riding in India + summer rides here that don't involve freeways #motorcycle. I *think* this completes my motorcycle safety gear - I can't think of anything else I want to get right now.

It's interesting how politicised YouTube's #algorithm is. I watch a lot of #motorcycle, #travel and urban design videos, and it's happy to recommend them. More recently I've been watching #lgbt, relationship and #anarchism videos and it's started giving me loads of #military, #conspiracy and #guns videos for some reason instead. #YouTube

Finally took what is probably the favourite #ClassicCar in my motely "collection" for its first spin this year as the distance between my two garages is apparently multiple miles. Not that the map agrees.

It's almost as good as being on a #motorcycle, but my manky knee likes it a bit better.

Up at 6am on a Sunday, out the door at 7:15 (after 2 false starts), for a 90-minute #motorcycle ride to spend just under 6 minutes donating blood. Enjoying my cookie and coffee, and planning my route home.

Forecast turned out better than expected. Took a ride up to Castle in the Clouds in Moultonborough NH with my daughter riding pillion. Wife led the way in the car.

Technically, that's a #scooter, not a #motorcycle. But I don't want them training the #AI to think it's OK to run them over either.

RIP to my OEM #motorcycle chain - frozen links for the last 1k miles or so. Getting it replaced with a DID V530X3 soon! Still trying to decide if I should put on a scottoiler or not. Every mechanic I've spoken to here says they don't like it. But my new apartment parking spot is indoors but there is practically no space for me to do chain maintenance here regularly...

Took the Grom out for a spin. It feels so different now after riding the Rally almost exclusively since buying it last month.

The Grom makes me feel like a gorilla on a child's bike. It's *so* small. And gutless. Very smooth clutch and engine though.

The suspension is awful. Every single bump in the road gets transferred into the handlebars. I used to think the Grom was smoother since its engine vibrates less, but it's definitely less comfortable.

Still fun though!

Oof, the BMW F800 GS now requires 95 RON (super unleaded), up from 91 compared to the F750 GS.

That's a shame. I like my cheap fuel, and 95 RON is a bit harder to come by in the Outback.

Then again, what does "cheap" even mean when even 91 RON is now exceeding $2 AUD/L?
