What is it with the obsession with buying bigger and bigger cars?

They are worse for the environment. They will do far more damage to a cyclist or a pedestrian if they hit them than a small car. They are more difficult to manoeuvre in narrow streets or heavy traffic. They are more expensive to run.

They should be taxed very heavily.

Anyone else remember seeing lorries without any form of bodyworl at all being driven on public roads (even the new M!) from the factory to the body builders?
I certainly do.
The drivers usually in heavy leather greatcoats with leather helmets and gogles, often sitting on wooden orange boxes.
