There is a social phenomenon in driving motor vehicles, at least in the US, that is bothersome and dangerous: the wide turn. It seems cultural. It happens in every vehicle turning context, but is most dangerous at intersection turns. Instead of slowing down, a driver turns the vehicle opposite to the upcoming turn before making the turn. Can we get a moratorium on this behavior? Just slow down, and make the turn please.
