After 4 months, I am finally able to start taking #Mounjaro again. Between my insurance not wanting to pay for it and simply not being able to find it, I haven't had it since January.

I had forgotten how nasty the first two weeks make me feel I have done nothing but vomit for 24 hours. I feel like crap, but I know from experience that this will pass and I will be fine.

Ugh.

@auscandoc @CassandraZeroCovid Having treated a bunch of #ObstructiveSleepApnea (#OSA) patients, I can vouch for it’s benefit in terms of improved day-to-day functioning, improved blood pressure control and reported reduced risk of stroke and heart disease. Once stabilized on CPAP, I then try to work with them on health and weight reduction. Wish I could put them all on #Mounjaro!

I can't get my #Mounjaro because of my #Insurance #Deductible. Once the deductible is paid, my med will only be $25 a month. But no meds for me until I pay the deductible.

The deductible is $2500, but $800 will get me a month of meds.

I started on the next higher dose of #Mounjaro yesterday. Today I got hit real bad with what people in the GLP-1 community call “sulfur burps” (mine don’t smell like sulfur, but they do stink).

I googled to find out why this happens, and… it’s kinda gross. Looks like I’ll be on a liquid diet for a while.

I was without for over a month so my system has to get used to it all over again.

Needless to say, I am nauseous and all I want to do is sleep. The next two weeks are going to be pretty rough.
