@agraves Well I am no expert but maybe this is where they got the idea from, which is enough for my suspension of disbelief in a fantasy show:
"[.] you can get a #magma to erupt, usually explosively, is the addition of outside #water. Think about the 2010 eruption of Eyjafjallajökull -- that #eruption was made much more explosive by all the melted snow/ice on the volcano that mixed with the magma []"
