A rare super gathering of three Orca clans in Tokatae's home waters occurred the day she died.
Animals including humans often sense when a loved one has passed, even across time and space.
Orca's can live into their hundreds. It's more than likely some of those who knew her from birth, are still alive.
Local tribes are holding vigils for her, and there are vigils on Whidby Island and Seattle

Sometimes I remember that it's been a while since there was a post by xyz content creator. I usually assume I just scrolled past them mindlessly. Most time it turns out life got in the way for some time: there was a work deadline, a move to a new place, a healthcare event, family issues. Sometimes I learn months late that a kind stranger I loved very much had died and I cry over my phone. This is one of those times. RIP Ashley.
