Thinking about moving your Mastodon account to a different instance?

Here's an overview:
docs.joinmastodon.org/user/mov

You can export your Follows, Lists, You block, You mute, Domain blocks, and Bookmarks from aus.social/settings/export.

When you do a Move, it makes everyone unfollow your current account and follow your new account. Mastodon does this for you automatically, so you don't need to export a list of your Followers and import them again.

You can export an archive of your toots with the "Request your archive" feature. It fetches your posts and media in ActivityPub format. But, as yet it appears there's no way to import your content again.

To import your Follows, Lists, You block, You mute, Domain blocks, and Bookmarks, use the Import page at aus.social/settings/import.
