Carmela @DocCarms just posted that Japanese musician Ryuichi Sakamoto has died at 71. That is truly sad news.

I love what he did, aside from “Merry Christmas Mr Lawrence” and its main theme’s re-interpretation as the song “Forbidden Colors” together with David Sylvian, especially his scores for “The Las Emperor” and “Little Buddha”. He will live on.
