The Whispering Shadow (1933), a 13-part Mascot serial starring Bela Lugosi. A crime thriller with some elements of sci-fi and the fantastic thrown in, and a hint of the gothic as well. Not quite a top-tier serial but very enjoyable.

Panther Girl of the Kongo (1955), a very late Republic serial.

It’s a jungle girl adventure. That’s always a good start. And it features giant bugs.

It's not bad and if you're a seasoned serial fan you'll want to see it. If you're new to the wonderful world of movie serials there are however much better examples which would be a much better place to start.

Lots of action and excitement and some of the best cliffhanger endings you've ever seen make this one of the best-ever serials.
